HOLD FAST: Call for Dancers & Performers

HOLD FAST is seeking out volunteer dancers and performers to be a part of a featured artist’s Art Crawl Performance! All levels of experience and styles of dance/performace are welcome!
Born in the Czech Republic, Lenka Novakova is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in Montreal.
Currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Maine, ME, USA and the ZYUD University in Maastricht, Netherlands, the focus of Lenka’s research, titled ‘The Conversation with Landscapes’, explores how performative environments reposition our understanding of performance as a dynamic expression of space and as a dialogue between theatre and visual arts.
Volunteer dancers and members of the audience will join Lenka’s performance, with their live images being projected onto screens around them, creating a dynamic ever-changing environment. The performance aims to explore how the natural environments affect our actions and conversely how our actions affect the environment.
All levels of experience and styles of dance are welcome!
