Tracey Robinson – The Illustrated Guide to Death, Dying & Insanity

Tracey’s work is primarily a visual reaction to the events in her life since immigrating to Canada in December 2009. It is a black comedy of unfortunate events. The artist presents dark themes through highly decorative images, and these images change as circumstances, both positive and negative, unfold in her life.

About the artist:

Tracey Robinson (b. 1966, UK) is a mixed-media who currently lives in St. John’s, Newfoundland. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sunderland Polytechnic (1989) where she specialized in printmaking. She earned a teacher training qualification from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1993.

Tracey has worked prolifically since 2011 in both Newfoundland and during extended visits to the United Kingdom. She has displayed and sold works in the annual Mindscapes exhibitions held in St. John’s, Healing Expressions Gala (2013), and the Arts and Letters Awards (2015). Her most recent project is a commemorative piece for the upcoming David Tuck exhibition at the Eastern Edge Gallery in March 2016. Tracey is currently studying Graphic Communications at the College of the North Atlantic.
