Saying Goodbye to AiR, Georgia Dawkin!
As our year comes to a close, so too does our residency programming! It’s with full hearts and watery eyes that we say goodbye to our last artist in residence of 2024, Georgia Dawkin.
During her time at EE, Georgia worked hard on producing business suit monotypes for a series she calls DOLLS. She spent time printing upstairs at St. Michael’s Printshop, then took time to carefully cut out each monotype to transform them into wearable suits!!
But that’s not all! Georgia also produced screen prints, worked on a fare & SQUARE panel (released under HOT 4 THE MOMENT), and gave an absolutely stellar artist talk and public screening in the studio earlier this month! It was such a treat to watch never-before-seen performance work from Georgia, and gave the chance for community members to learn more about her practice.
It was such a joy having you here, Georgia! Goodbyes are hard, but we’re grateful to have finished up such a great year with your residency as the cherry on top. We can’t wait to see what you do next!
