After the Storm is an exhibition of Gerard McNiven’s abstract, atmospheric landscape mixed media paintings. These images are not representative of a particular time or place but of an imaginary space which Gerard creates intuitively as he works.

About the artist:
Based in St. John’s, Gerard McNiven has been making art for the past eight years. He specializes in mixed media works. Gerard is an active member of the arts community as member of the The Group of 77 a life drawing group and Eastern Edge Gallery. Recent exhibitions of his work include “Patrick – A Celebration” and “Total Exposure” at the Arts and Culture Centre, as well as numerous “Mindscapes” exhibitions at Eastern Edge Gallery. In 2013 Gerard received Eastern Edge’s Volunteer of the Year Award for his dedication and work during the gallery’s Art Marathon Festival.
