Arts for Equity: Echo & Action
Echo and Action was hosted as part of our ongoing Arts for Equity project. After taking the time to reflect on our interviews and the symposium, this gathering focused on coming together, sharing space, listening to what artists need, and moving those conversations into action with long-term change and commitment.
This event featured:
- An antiracism keynote by Laurabel Mba
- Time to connect with artists and arts administrators
- Free headshots and art documentation by Ritchie Perez
- Resources on paid opportunities for artists
- Participatory community rug hooking project
- Video installation featuring conversations with BIPOC artists across the province
- Lunch catered by Terre Restaurant
