Black History Conversation and Zine Night

Join us on Wednesday, February 21 from 7-9pm for a night of Black Excellence and zine-making with local writer Xaiver Campbell and ANC presenter Rachel Gilbert.

This event will begin with a presentation on Black histories and cultures in NL and Canada, followed by a talk by Xaiver Campbell on their recent publication “Black Harbour: Slavery and the Forgotten Histories of Black People in Newfoundland and Labrador” (co-authored by Heather Barrett).

During the second half of the event, EE staff member Elijah Martel will guide us through the zine-making process as we take time to create zines that focus on themes of anti-racism, diversity, inclusion, Black History Month, community, and more!

This event is open to the public, no registration required.
