Come try out some steam-a-seam appliqué on July 4th at Eastern Edge with our Artist in Residence, Jem Woolidge!

This workshop will be an hour of casual, optional clothing swap (1-2pm), followed by a beginner-friendly hand appliquéworkshop (2-4pm). If you want to participate in the clothing swap, come at 1:00 and bring any clothes you want to get rid of to trade, but please also bring an item of clothing you want to zhuzh up with appliqué during the workshop! If you only come for the workshop, you just need to bring yourself and an item of clothing to work on – the rest of the materials will be provided. We’ll go over how to use double-sided interfacing, how to create an image in fabric, and how to stitch the image down using a simple appliqué technique.
