Workshop: Getting Under It with August Carrigan

Getting Under It is a workshop about old grief that maybe you’ve been told you should be “over” by now.
The group will take turns telling us a 2-5 minute story of their favorite memory about someone or something they are grieving. After the stories are complete, the person to your left will ask you a question about your story.
You’ll do some scaffolding – i.e. writing down lists of nouns, verbs etc for easy access during writing time and then you will choose between 2 or 3 prompts and write a poem from it. The workshop will conclude with a voluntary read back.
