Embroidery is a key component in adorning traditional Palestinian clothing. In this class, students will learn the history and basics of Palestinian embroideries: tatreez, hem stitch, and tahriri on aida cloth. They will explore a sampling of common traditional tatreez motifs to use in their own pieces, as well as discuss the creation of their own designs.
