Join us for a memorable night where the love of art meets the joy of giving. Our biggest annual fundraiser, fare & SQUARE, is back! Event details:

Date: Sunday, December 6th, 2026
Schedule: Doors open at 6 pm; ticket draw starts 7pm
Location: Alt Hotel‘s Indigo Ballroom, 125 Water Street

How it works:

  • One hundred local artists and Eastern Edge members have been invited to create an original artwork in any medium, using an 8″x8″ birch panel as their base.
  • At the start of the evening, all of the artworks are on display for you to view. To bring one of these unique pieces home, you will need a ticket for the artwork draw.
  • The draw will start at 7pm. When your lucky ticket number is called, you will come to the front of the room and select the artwork that you would like right off the wall! It’s a thrilling experience, as each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation from an incredibly talented artist.
  • Halfway through the draw, there will be an intermission to refill on snacks and drinks, so the remaining ticket holders can scope out their picks from the remaining artworks.
  • To keep things fair and fun down to the last ticket, the final 5 ticket holders will be given access to the “wildcard” artworks. These 5 artworks will be reserved and set aside during the initial ticket draw. If you are one of the last 5 ticket holders, you can choose from what remains on the wall, or pay an additional $50 to select from the wildcards.
  • At the end of the evening, any remaining artworks will go up for silent auction. Attendees will have approximately 10 minutes to bid on any additional pieces they would like to take home.

In addition to the draw for artworks, the event will feature hot and cold snacks by Terre Restaurant, which will be available upon arrival and during the intermission. There will be live music by a local musician (TBD).

 

Tickets and Pricing:

General Admission Ticket: $225

  • Guarantees the holder one original 8″x8″ artwork in the ticket draw
  • Can bid on remaining artworks in the silent auction
  • Access to an evening of art, music, and fun
  • Includes hors d’oeuvres from Terre restaurant

Date Ticket: $50

  • Can only be purchased with the purchase of a general admission ticket
  • Can bid on remaining artworks in the silent auction
  • Access to an evening of art, music, and fun
  • Includes hors d’oeuvres from Terre restaurant

As a not-for-profit artist-run centre and registered charity, Eastern Edge depends on the generosity of our patrons and our community. As an arts-based community centre, we deliver free and accessible arts programming year-round, providing a diversity of programs to artists of all ages, races, languages, and genders. We aim to foster an engaging community where artistic practices at every level can thrive, and every artist can be respected and celebrated. All money raised as a part of this fundraiser goes directly into supporting our diverse programming and event schedule! None of this would be possible without you!
