Are you a creative person looking to learn more about artist-run centres, art installation, and/or art festivals? Eastern Edge is looking for three enthusiastic creatives to join our team for Summer 2025!
We are currently hiring a HOLD FAST Festival Coordinator, a Festival Assistant, and a Gallery Assistant (full job descriptions at the bottom of this post).
The HOLD FAST Festival Coordinator position will be 17 weeks long, running from June 4-October 1, 2025. This employee will work 30 hours a week at $22.4/hr. This position is open to anyone and does not have age or citizenship requirements. Interviews for this position will take place the week of May 13-16, 2025.
The Gallery Assistant and Festival Assistant positions are both 35 hours a week for 6-8 weeks, and will run for July and August 2025. These positions are guaranteed to be paid at minimum wage ($16/hr), we are currently waiting to hear back on a funding application that would support paying these positions $19/hour. The HOLD FAST Assistant position is being supported by a wage subsidy program that requires participants to be between the ages of 15-30. The Gallery Assistant position is being supported by a wage subsidy program that requires participants to be between the ages of 15-30 and be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident. These positions are subject to funding approval. Interviews for these positions will take place the week of May 27-30, 2025.
