Mainframe Workshop: Generative Art with Geoff Pevlin
Scroll down for the workshop recording.
On November 10th, from 6-8 pm, join Geoff Pevlin for an interactive workshop on how to create generative art using code!
This workshop is for artists with no previous coding experience. We will learn the basics of generative art—a form of digital art partially created using randomness and computer algorithms.
We will use a programming language called JavaScript (and a library called p5.js) to draw simple shapes, introduce animation, enable interactivity, and create algorithms which generate infinite iterations of our creative vision.
We will use a free code editor (browser-based) called p5.js, found here!
This workshop is free to attend. No pre-registration is required. Masks are recommended.
For this workshop, we recommend bringing a laptop. If you do not have access to a computer, email easternedgestudio@gmail.com.
