Snacks and beverages will be provided! 🥕☕

Those participating in this event will get to showcase what they produced during our Queer Artist Extravaganza on Friday, July 12!

Storytelling is really important to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as a way of sharing our experiences and finding solidarity in our struggles. Come share the love of storytelling, while learning how to add your own voice through Zine Making and other forms of art. Art supplies will be provided! All ages welcome – there will also be a book reading for young kids/for the children inside our hearts.

T-SHIRT PRINTING WITH ST. MICHAEL’S PRINTSHOP

Some light snacks and beverages will be provided 🥕☕

Peace Love ‘n Pride is teaming up with St. Michael’s Printshop to host a Tee Shirt Printing Party! During this event, you can bring your own plain & pale shirt, jacket, sweater, etc and watch the Peace Love n’ Pride logo get printed on it by St. Michael’s awesome volunteer staff. We have a very limited quality of shirts available for those who cannot bring their own, so if you have extra plain shirts you’d like to donate to other attendees (especially plus size), please do!

This event is all ages – kids can get their t-shirts printed too!

KINK & CONSENT WORKSHOP

Time: Tuesday, July 9. 7 to 9 pm.
Location: Eastern Edge
Info: Accessible space, All Ages, Free, no registration required.
Beverages will be provided ☕

Two of our fabulous festival organizers will be running this workshop together! Both are experienced in kink, BDSM, consent, and are familiar with both domming and subbing. Our kink duo will go over the must-knows for practicing safe kink and safer sex. This workshop is educational, fun, relaxed, and will include a demonstration of some low-level ties for attendees that are interested! Come join us for a safe, fun, kinky chat! Even for those more experienced in kink, it’s always beneficial to go over the basics, and you could always learn something new and meet like-minded people!

This is an educational safe sex workshop, it is all ages, but there will be mature content.

TRANS PICNIC

This event is hosted by Peace Love ‘n Pride, with special thanks to Eastern Edge for their generous donation of space! And for this event in particular, huge thank you to TakingITGlobal aka #risingyouth, for providing us with funds for food!

Time: Saturday, July 13. 1 to 3 pm.
Location: Eastern Edge – Outside in good weather, inside if it rains.
Info: Accessible space, All Ages, Free, no registration required.
This is a kid friendly event! There will be chalk, friendly music, and colouring books.

Lunch, snacks, and beverages will be provided! We will have a BBQ hot and ready to go for burgers, hot-dogs, and veggie alternatives! 🌭 ☕

The Trans Picnic is taking place following the Trans March in Eastern Edge’s parking lot. We will also have access to Eastern Edge, so there’s no need to worry about rain! Come join us for food, music, love, and support from our fabulous allies. This picnic, as you may have guessed from the name, is primarily for trans folks, but all are welcome! You are strongly encouraged to bring snacks to share.

We’re happy to embrace our new allies from the #FreeMomHugs group in St. John’s who are excited to bring their love and support to the picnic – and hopefully some cookies too! After you grab a bite to eat, you’ll also be able to grab a hug!

Donations are not necessary, but are greatly appreciated. We will also be accepting donations of money, canned/dry foods, or personal care items (deodorant, shampoo etc) to give to S.H.O.P.
