Eastern Edge is looking for two enthusiastic creatives to join our team for Summer 2024! 

Established in 1984, Eastern Edge is a not-for-profit artist-run centre and a registered charity. As an arts-based community centre, Eastern Edge delivers free and accessible arts programming year-round. We provide a diversity of programs that appeal to artists of any age, race, or gender.  Eastern Edge is actively cultivating a safe and engaging community where artistic practices at every level can thrive, and every artist can be respected and celebrated. 

We are currently hiring a Gallery Assistant and a HOLD FAST Festival Assistant. These positions are full-time, 35 hours a week for 8 weeks, and will run for July and August 2024. Applicants are welcome to apply to one or both positions. Please indicate which position(s) you are applying for and which is your top pick. These positions are guaranteed to be paid at minimum wage ($15.60/hr), we are currently waiting to hear back on a funding application that would support paying these positions $19/hour.

Please note: The HOLD FAST Assistant position is being supported by a wage subsidy program that requires participants to be between the ages of 15-30. The Gallery Assistant position is being supported by a wage subsidy program that requires participants to be between the ages of 15-30 and be a Canadian Citizen.
