Everybody Eats: Annual Members’ Exhibition

The show will be opening on Friday, July 18th with a reception from 6-8pm! As usual, we will have snacks and refreshments, and we encourage exhibiting artists to attend and bring their friends and family! We hope to see you there—Click here to RSVP to the Facebook event!
With over 70 participating artists working in a variety of mediums, this exhibition represents the vibrancy of our wonderful community, and celebrates their hard work. Everybody Eats will be up in our Main Gallery from July 18th to August 28th.
The Members’ Exhibition Silent Auction is back again, which means you can bid on artworks from participating artists! Participating artists have the option to put their pieces up for auction, and will receive 50% of the sale price, while the remainder helps support Eastern Edge’s year-round programming. The Silent Auction is a fundraiser which will run throughout the exhibition, concluding with a closing event on August 28th from 4-6pm, where bidders can make their final offers and take artworks off the wall to bring home!

Silent Auction & Closing Event
HOW DOES IT WORK?
- Artists set the “starting bid” for their work.
- Artworks are installed in the gallery, and each piece is assigned a number, indicated on the piece’s label.
- Numbers correspond to bidding sheets in a binder kept on a plinth by the title wall of the exhibition.
- Anyone who wants to bid on an artwork can write their bid and their contact info on the bidding sheet in the binder.
- The bidding will continue for the duration of the exhibition.
AUCTION CLOSING PARTY – AUGUST 28th, 4-6 PM!
This will be everyone’s last chance to bid on their favourite works!
At the end of the event, whoever has the highest bid on any given piece will win that artwork, and can take it right off the wall to bring home with them (if payment is made on-site)!
If you are not attending the closing event but your bid wins, EE will contact you for next steps. We will also contact the artist to let them know their piece has sold!
50% of the sale price will go to the artist, and 50% will go to EE, towards our programming! Thank you for supporting Eastern Edge Artist-Run Centre!
