Call for HOLD FAST Writer-in-Residence 2024

HOLD FAST is accepting applications for a writer-in-residence to cover our 2024 festival!

As a festival writer, you’ll cover HOLD FAST events, prioritizing the four Featured Artists & their work. The goal is a prose piece which describes and reflects upon the festival, and which is accessible to a wide range of readers. Your work will be shared on Eastern Edge’s social media and website as part of our post-festival report.

The festival writer will be paid $500 for approximately 1000 words.

Responsibilities:

In-person attendance at HOLD FAST Launch Party (evening of Tuesday, August 20)
In-person attendance at Fancy Artist Talks (evening of Friday, August 23)
In-person attendance at Art Crawl (afternoon of Saturday, August 24)
1000-word reflection on HOLD FAST, to be submitted no later than Monday, September 4. This writing should talk specifically about all 4 Featured Artists and their projects.

150-word bio
150-200 word statement of intent
Two examples of past work, 500 words or less (PDF files preferred)
